About the Clinic

Approach

At The Complimentary Clinic we employ a holistic approach. A thorough consultation regarding your lifestyle and thought processes will result in recommendations about the treatment that would best address any concerns; health, fitness, stress, muscular or skeletal, or to help with the continued maintenance of a healthy body and mind. As a qualified counsellor, I will listen and help you reflect your thoughts into areas that will not only alleviate your physical health concerns, but have an impact upon your whole life.

Natural organic essential oils are used with every treatment, along with nutritional and exercise recommendations. The clinic offers a wide range of treatments, provided by fully insured and qualified therapist Delphine MacDonald, MICHT, BA HND (Member of the Institute of Certified Holistic Therapists and Bachelor of Arts Higher National Diploma respectively).

Philosophy

The Holistic approach believes that everything you do and think has an impact upon another area in your life. The key point to remember is that in making choices in life, you have full control over your decisions, and that the moment we feel out of control or are unwilling to take control, we lose responsibility for our health. It is our responsibility to look after ourselves, and we can ask for help to do this by addressing physiological and/or psychological concerns.

About the Therapist — Delphine MacDonald

Delphine MacDonald

I have studied Complementary Therapies since 2004, achieving the award for my year, and continuously extend my range of therapies and knowledge (I am currently studying physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University).

Starting my own business from scratch, I have successfully treated and continue to treat hundreds of male and female clients of all ages. My job involves counselling and encouragement as much as physical therapy. Working with people in such a capacity has made for an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling career. I am passionate and committed to achieving the best results for each client. Most of my clients come from recommendations from other clients and I take great satisfaction from the excellent feedback they give me. My services have also featured in local and national newspapers.

Each session brings new challenges, so I continuously adapt the therapies and treatments to suit what is needed. For instance, one moment I may be engaged in bodywork and advice, then progress to counselling, diet and exercise.

I aim to be the best therapist that I can, helping others realise the healthy holistic potential within themselves.
